The hero of our short story not only towers over Zurich, offering postcard views of the city, but is also famous for the highest service, and now a place where you can enjoy haute cuisine and experience a real atmosphere of comfort and luxury.
The prestigious French gastronomic guide GaultMillau named The Dolder Grand “Hotel of 2024”. This is the second time since 2016 that the hotel has received this award.
• Mikuriya, a Japanese restaurant with an omakase concept, received 16 points.
Blooms, a new vegan and vegetarian restaurant, scored 14 points.
The exquisite The Saltz with a view of Zurich rose in the ranking and earned 15 points.
• The Restaurant, awarded 2 Michelin stars, under the management of chef Heiko Nieder, continues to hold its place as one of the best restaurants, with 19 points out of 20. Only six restaurants in Switzerland can boast such a high rating.
• Until October 28, the meat pop-up restaurant The Grand Meatery is open at The Dolder Grand. The motto of the establishment: “Nourishing, juicy and absolutely perfect!”
• Canvas Bar & Lounge – a bar where history is combined with modern art. Here guests can relax in cozy armchairs with a cup of aromatic coffee and the famous The Dolder Torte – a shortcrust pastry cake with champagne, marzipan and chocolate cream. In the evening, bartenders will offer their interpretation of classic cocktails: Grand Espresso Martini and Dolder Negroni and more!
In honor of the Zurich Film Festival, bartenders created a special cocktail based on tequila with pitaya and traces of vanilla. This recipe is inspired by David Fincher’s film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was filmed at The Dolder Grand.
