Scrolling through the map of France, we continue to get acquainted with the possessions of the Ultima Collection.
Megève is a charming town in the French Alps and one of Europe’s most vibrant mountain resorts, a favorite ski destination for the rich and famous since the 1920s. The resort became popular thanks to Baron Rothschild’s wife, Noemi, a great lover of skiing. After the First World War, the patriotic baroness did not want to ski in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where there were many German tourists, and looked for a new place to ski in France. A ski instructor recommended Megève to her.
100 years later, Ultima Megève opened its doors here offering cozy chalets that were created for fun in the Alps.
• 1 hour drive from Geneva
• 20 minutes by helicopter from Geneva + 15 minutes by car
• 10 minutes drive from the ski slopes
• Nearest ski lift – Princess
Any notion of a traditional chalet disappears as soon as guests step through the door overlooking the snow-capped peak of Mont Blanc. It has everything from a games room, an underground private nightclub, an impressively stocked wine cellar, a gym and a full spa with a hammam, massage room and a specialist hair salon. Simply put, there is no other mountain resort that can offer so many activities!
Consisting of two luxury chalets, Ultima Megève reflects the surrounding nature and flavor of the region. There are hints of this in the hand-carved wood and bronze-clad chimneys, custom-made furniture, leather headboards and marble accents.
• Two separate chalets, each with 7 bedrooms, including a bedroom for up to 4 children
• Service by professional staff (chef, butler, maids, driver)
Each chalet can accommodate up to 18 guests, and each bedroom has an en-suite dressing room and en-suite bathroom – all decorated in the beige and gold tones that have become synonymous with the Ultima collection’s signature design. The master bedroom has a sitting area and dressing room that luxury hotels can’t compete with, and the children’s bedroom is completely unique!
