Scrolling through the map of France, we continue to get acquainted with the possessions of the Ultima Collection.

Megève is a charming town in the French Alps and one of Europe’s most vibrant mountain resorts, a favorite ski destination for the rich and famous since the 1920s. The resort became popular thanks to Baron Rothschild’s wife, Noemi, a great lover of skiing. After the First World War, the patriotic baroness did not want to ski in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where there were many German tourists, and looked for a new place to ski in France. A ski instructor recommended Megève to her.

100 years later, Ultima Megève opened its doors here offering cozy chalets that were created for fun in the Alps.

Any notion of a traditional chalet disappears as soon as guests step through the door overlooking the snow-capped peak of Mont Blanc. Amansara, once the guest residence of King Sihanouk, is a masterpiece of new Khmer architecture from the 1960s is located just ten minutes from the entrance to Cambodia’s Angkor Wat. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The closest to Paro International Airport is Paro Lodge, a 25-minute drive, while the furthest is Thimphu Lodge, a 90-minute drive.

Bhutan Airlines and Druk Air are the only carriers allowed to fly through Bhutan’s unique Himalayan terrain. Amankora can arrange flights to and from Paro International Airport through air gateways in Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Kathmandu and Singapore.
