Bodrum: unusual restaurants that we know, love and book
17 July 2024
In addition to the well-known and such native restaurants of Arkady Novikov, Boris Zarkov, and the Vasilchuk brothers, where guests are deliciously fed according to the proper Moscow tradition, we can introduce to you unusual places with excellent Cantonese, Anatolian, Japanese and other cuisines of the world, for experienced and novice gourmets.
• Mimoza: located on the seafront in the port of Gümüşlük, the seafood restaurant boasts an idyllic Mediterranean décor with white wood dining tables surrounded by blooming bougainvilleas. The menu is impeccably Mediterranean – meze, stuffed mussels, grilled fish and flambéed shrimp, all prepared right at diners’ tables. Most often the dishes are served with raki, the strong national Turkish drink.
• Galia Seafood: open for dinner from 19:00 to 1:00. Sea food at the highest level! Gillardeau oysters, king crab and salmon roe are specialties. The interior refers to the ancient Nile kingdom – Egyptian statues and columns meet at the entrance. The color scheme includes the whole palette of warm-yellow shades – from cream to ochre. It looks especially beautiful when everything is flooded with sunset rays. In the evening Egyptian dancers appear in the hall.
• Fenix: open for dinner from 19:00 to 3:00 This glamorous spot overlooking Yalikavak Marina is tropical modernism. The thoughtfully eclectic interior transports you to Barcelona, Miami, Marrakech, Dubai and other parts of the world. The menu is as good as the interior. There is everything here: from sushi made of fresh fish to Peruvian classics of street food – anticucho of octopus or ox heart, Mexican tacos, Mediterranean pasta, grilled steaks. Facility’s specialty is called “kokorech” – it is Turkish kebab made of spicy lamb. Everything is accompanied by excellent cocktails and extravagant serving.
We will continue to acquaint you with unusual and unique restaurants in the next posts.
