Mandarin Oriental, Bali: opening in 2027

Mandarin Oriental Group has announced the opening of its first resort on the island of Bali, scheduled for 2027.
Located on a cliff plateau with elevated terraces, Mandarin Oriental, Bali will offer spectacular panoramic views of the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and direct access to a secluded white sand beach. Design Lab architects and renowned interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes and world-renowned landscape designer Bill Bensley have already begun work on the hotel. The design will capture the essence of Balinese culture, emphasizing unique local craftsmanship and Mandarin Oriental’s meticulous attention to detail.
Mandarin Oriental has chosen the southern Bukit Peninsula for its resort, an area mainly known for its dramatic rocky coastline, white sandy beaches, high cliff tops and diverse landscapes. The hotel will be a 30-minute drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport and a 30-minute drive from the popular tourist destinations of Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Sanur.
As accommodation, guests will be offered 110 luxury suites and villas, each designed to harmonize with the surrounding nature. Some rooms will have private terraces or gardens, and most of them will also have their own swimming pools. In terms of gastronomy, the hotel will have a cliff edge restaurant and bar, a Chinese restaurant, and a beach club offering the best of Indonesian and international cuisine. The sprawling cliff-side green space will be the perfect venue for weddings and events. With panoramic views, this venue promises to add a special atmosphere to any event.
The Mandarin Oriental Spa will provide a space for serene relaxation, offering the widest range of health, beauty and massage treatments available in the region.
Other hotel amenities will include outdoor pools surrounded by multiple individual spa cabanas, as well as a spacious fitness center with an outdoor area for yoga and other athletic activities.
In addition, the hotel will feature a kids’ club, tennis courts, padel tennis courts, a beach club with water sports, and an organic garden with its own sustainability lab.
The hotel will be located next to the famous Bukit Pandawa golf course and just a short drive from the prestigious Bali National Golf Club.
