Nirjhara Hotel is a 30-minute drive from Seminyak in Tabanan. This area, despite its large size, is not very famous among tourists, since there is almost no infrastructure. Tabanan’s biggest tourist attraction is the Tanah Lot Temple, located on a small island.

Despite the fact that Nirjhara is located quite close to the coast, its location and atmosphere are more reminiscent of Ubud hotels: in the center of rice fields, hidden in the jungle from prying eyes. By bicycle in 10 minutes you will reach a secluded, wide and clean beach. There is a very picturesque road to the ocean. However, it is better to catch the golden hour at the hotel on the terrace, since the location on the hill gives a difference in altitude. The upper terrace of Nirjhara is one of the best places to spend the day and watch how the reflection of the sky changes in the pool. Balinese sunsets are usually viewed over the ocean, but believe us, in the jungle it is no less spectacular.

At the foot of the waterfall, the Nirjhara Hotel features a yoga pavilion designed by renowned Balinese architecture studio Ibuku. The building’s frame is entirely made of bamboo, and the windows overlook the Nirjhara Falls. Yoga and meditation sessions as well as local dance classes are offered here.

Also located at the resort is The Retreat, a spa center whose menu features traditional Balinese massage and relaxation techniques based on centuries-old tradition. Before the start of each procedure, all guests are given a carved parchment on which the five blessings of Nirjara are written. Lontara leaves were traditionally decorated with spiritual scriptures and used by priests during Balinese ceremonies. During the 90-minute spa ritual guests will gain a deeper understanding of the customs and culture of Bali.
