1, Place Vendôme, Paris: Let’s go to the rooms!
23 September 2024
This is the promised continuation of the story about the new “anti-hotel” from Chopard.
We would like to introduce to you the rooms in the Parisian hotel for the ultra-wealthy – 1, Place Vendôme, where 29 bedrooms of the historic hotel were transformed during the reconstruction into 5 rooms and 10 suites.
The filigree work was done not by builders and architects, but by authentic traditional artisans – skilled masters of their craft in the tenth generation. The rooms are decorated with cast parts and moldings from Auberlet & Laurent, curtains and tapestries from Les Ateliers Philippe Coudray, wall paintings from L’Atelier Mériguet Carrère. Art connoisseurs would understand what we mean!
Every room has its own unique charm, and all rooms are uniquely memorable. The Rubis room is done in a classic living room style in contrast to the modernist pop art with bright white and cobalt blue soft felt armchairs of the Astronomie attic suite. The Paraiba room has embroidered wallpaper, a mosaic shower room and silk door tassels in the form of dancers. The height of spatial perfection is the Appartement Chopard, a two-level suite worthy of the luxury of Versailles, with a personal hammam and a four-poster bed that looks like a confection.
Against the background of this incredible visual splendor, albeit being barely noticeable, advanced technologies play an important and functional role. In the rooms, luxurious mirrors turn into TV screens and the bathrooms are equipped with “supersonic” Dyson stylers, thanks to which your hair would not only dry in two minutes, but would also fall into a fashionable hairstyle.
