Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas: a children’s kingdom
10 September 2025
Continuation of the story based on personal experience and professional opinion of an Á La Carte Premium employee.
We vacationed at Anantara Koh Yao Yai without children and away from children. But the super-friendly family people we met during the long summer evenings unanimously admired the largest children’s club in the south of Thailand, especially noting that it has separate areas for toddlers and teenagers and its own children’s pool. “And in the evenings, they even organize family movie screenings with a giant screen right on the beach,” they said, clapping their hands and inviting us to join.
On the days of our stay, there was a Family Getaway offer with a special price for accommodation in family suites and free meals for children. However, the validity of this offer still needs to be clarified.
Having listened to enough of the “children’s” stories, we asked the hotel management to give us a tour of the children’s kingdom.
The kids’ club at Anantara Koh Yao Yai resort offers a large pool, climbing walls and slides for young guests, while the Anantara Spa has prepared relaxing massages, hair treatments with coconut oil and manicures for children.
The popular Family Suites feature bunk beds, a play area, a spacious terrace with sea views or direct access to the family pool with a children’s area, four water slides and a smoothie bar, while the Grand Family Sea View Suites also include a children’s bedroom with a bunk bed, from where children can slide down the slide into the play area below immediately after waking up.
Cool! I wanted to be kids and come back here with my kids.
