Anantara Layan Phuket Resort: new gastronomic experiences
14 March 2025
This season, Anantara Layan Phuket Resort will become a true gastronomic Mecca of Phuket with new and already beloved restaurants.
DARA Cuisine Phuket is a restaurant with a modern interpretation of Thai cuisine.
DARA means “star” in Thai. The concept of DARA Cuisine Phuket is based on the zodiac circle and is supported by the Sky Observatory located above the restaurant.
Michelin-starred chefs from Bangkok, Hanoi and Phuket collaborated with Chef Hong, the chief culinary visionary of DARA, to create a series of six-course menus.
Opened in April 2024, the restaurant offers guests the opportunity to enjoy seasonal grilled dishes, watch the stars with a guide, try cocktails inspired by astronomical phenomena and learn new skills in interactive Thai cooking master classes.
Breeze is a restaurant specializing in healthful food.
Experienced chef Filippo Tawil has developed the Food for Life program, which includes dishes created from a variety of healthful foods.
The dishes presented on the menu are traditional and popular, prepared without losing the brightness of taste, but with health benefits. They do not contain gluten, dairy products, sugar and its derivatives, and are distinguished by a balanced amount of high-quality macronutrients.
Zuma Phuket is an iconic seasonal restaurant of modern Japanese cuisine.
First opened in 2016, Zuma Phuket returns to Anantara Layan Phuket Resort until April 2026.
Situated within the Beach House Lounge on the shores of the Andaman Sea, the restaurant features a main kitchen, a sushi bar and an open kitchen with a Japanese robata grill. This season, guests are offered two Zuma tasting sets. Of particular note are the wagyu beef tataki, sliced chu-toro (tuna meat) with chilli-coriander ponzu sauce and garlic chips, and the premium Japanese wagyu fillet with truffle sauce and chilli ponzu.
On weekends, guests are offered a brunch menu with a Japanese “baikingu” buffet with a wide variety of dishes. In addition to cuisine, Zuma restaurants are famous for their Japanese-inspired cocktails and DJ sets.
