Baglioni Hotel Luna, Venice: The Return of a Legend
2 February 2026
In early March, the legendary Baglioni Hotel Luna, Venice’s oldest hotel, will reopen after a three-month closure for renovations. It is located in the heart of the city, just a few steps from St. Mark’s Square.
This 12th-century building, once the residence of the Knights Templar, carefully preserves the classic Venetian style in its interiors. In the Salon Marco Polo, where breakfast is typically served, you can admire the impressive 18th-century frescoes created by students of the great Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. These works still adorn the space, creating the atmosphere of authentic historic Venice.
The rooms and suites are decorated in classic Venetian style: antique furniture, Murano glass chandeliers, marble bathrooms, and Rubelli fabrics – all enhance the feeling of elegance and comfort. Guests can also enjoy Acqua di Parma toiletries in the bathrooms.
Many apartments offer views of the lagoon, Canal San Marco, or the rooftops of the Old Town, and some suites have private terraces – the perfect spot for a relaxing morning overlooking San Giorgio Island.
The Michelin-starred Canova Restaurant offers a refined interpretation of Italian and Venetian cuisine, while Canova Bistrot offers a more casual yet equally sophisticated atmosphere. In the evenings, the bar serves sparkling wine from Cantine Ferrari.
Guests also have access to a top-notch concierge service, which can arrange private boat transfers and excursions, as well as reserve tables and event tickets. Guests can enjoy special offers for children and families, free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour reception, and room service. For those seeking relaxation and tranquility spa treatments, massages, and wellness programs are available.
For guests of Baglioni Hotel Luna and travelers seeking an unusual experience in Venice, we offer a truly exclusive experience.
