Carnival in Venice – 2026: “The Olympics, at the origins of the game”
24 November 2025
A La Carte Premium invites you to Venice for Christmas and carnival. Already in December, the city is filled with a festive atmosphere: streets and squares are decorated with garlands, Christmas trees are installed. New Year’s Eve fireworks in St. Mark’s Square and the expectation of magic are ahead.
In 2026, the Venice Carnival will be held from January 31 to February 17. Its theme – “Olympus, the origins of play” – echoes the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The carnival program includes spectacular processions, a water show at the Arsenal, a ball at the Palazzo Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, performances of Commedia dell’arte and a masquerade in St. Mark’s Square.
Masquerade parties in historical palaces allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the XVIII century, listen to music, dance and show off your carnival costume.
