Dubai: concerts, festivals, sporting events this autumn

Dubai’s schedule until the end of the year includes performances by world stars and grand festivals, and the Dubai Opera will host premieres of plays and rare concerts.
• October 26 – the famous Scottish DJ Calvin Harris will perform at the new Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience restaurant. Silver, gold, platinum or VIP tables for 8, 10 and 12 people are available for order.
• November 2 – concert by the group “Ruki Vverh!” on the stage of the Coca-Cola Arena.
• November 23 – concert by Valery Meladze at The Agenda.
• December 12 – concert by the cult group Thirty Seconds To Mars on the stage of the Coca-Cola Arena.
The Dubai Opera will host Eurovision 2015 winners Il Volo on 25 October and pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor on 26 October. And from 30 November to 14 December, Singing in the Rain, an adaptation of the cult Hollywood film, will be performed for the first time in the Middle East and the UAE. Directed by renowned West End theatre director Jonathan Church, the production features energetic choreography by Andrew Wright and set design by Simon Higlett.
From 24 to 26 October, The Space by ICD Brookfield Place will host some of Dubai’s most talented chefs. They will offer guests an 11-course tasting menu, with each chef presenting their signature dish. The evening will continue on the outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy live jazz music. There are only 100 tickets available for this exclusive gastronomic event – hurry up!
From October 26 to November 24, the Dubai Fitness Challenge festival will be held – a great opportunity to take part in free events dedicated to sports and a healthy lifestyle. Throughout the month, guests of the emirate can join master classes, group training sessions and sports competitions. The program seems to have everything: from interval training and cycling to yoga and dancing. The events take place in different areas of the city and are suitable for participants of all ages.
From November 5 to 10, Dubai will host the emirate’s largest creative festival, Dubai Design Week, for the tenth time. The event is dedicated to extraordinary solutions in the field of design and architecture. Not only local craftsmen, but also representatives of studios from all over the world take part in the festival. Here you can buy products from limited collections of different brands and visit the Global Grad Show exhibition, where projects from 100 leading universities in the world are presented.
