The Épi 1959 is not just a hotel, but the heir to the golden era of Saint Tropez, where time slows down and every evening smells of jasmine and freedom.

Founded by Jean Castel in 1959, Épi 1959 was created for members of the Jetsetter generation who wanted to spend their holidays away from prying eyes. Celebrities from the world of cinema, culture and business stayed here: Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Hepburn, Alain Delon, Johnny Hallyday, Serge Gainsbourg, Sylvester Stallone, Madonna and others.

Since 2018, Épi 1959 has been owned by the Maccourt family. The hotel was completely renovated with the participation of interior designer Monica Damonte and California landscape architect Madison Cox, who managed to preserve the authenticity of the place by adding modern elements. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, this secluded corner combines a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere at the same time.

Today, Épi 1959 is an exclusive club on the Mediterranean Sea, where guests are accommodated in nine luxurious bungalows, providing absolute privacy. The interiors are designed in an elegant, soothing color scheme using natural materials and light tones. Each bungalow has its own patio and outdoor shower.

Since 2024, the hotel’s restaurant has opened its doors to outside guests for the first time, with advance reservations.

The spa area offers treatments from Biologique Recherche. There is also a boutique by New York designer Tom Brown and a barber shop by Frederick Fekkai.
