Hotel Metropole, Monte Carlo: A Focus on Luxury
20 October 2026
Located in the heart of Monte Carlo—right next to the Casino and just steps from the Mediterranean Sea—Hotel Metropole, Monte-Carlo is a property with a rich history. Built in 1886 in the Belle Époque style, it has been meticulously restored by architect Jacques Garcia, transforming it into one of Europe’s most elegant hotels. Last year, the hotel completed the first phase of an extensive renovation, with Jacques Garcia overseeing the refurbishment of 45 rooms and suites. Furthermore, July 2025 saw the opening of Spa Metropole by Guerlain—an oasis of well-being designed by Sami Itani, which blends exceptional treatments and sophistication with a holistic approach to body and mind.
In the lobby bar, where original works by Picasso, Warhol, and Bacon adorn the walls, guests can enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Nearby, there is a newly updated lounge and a cigar room. Guests also have access to “Odyssey”—a space designed by Karl Lagerfeld—where a swimming pool, an outdoor terrace, and blooming gardens create a sanctuary of perfect harmony in the middle of Monte Carlo. Add to this the two-Michelin-starred restaurant *Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac*, serving Mediterranean cuisine, and *Yoshi*, which offers a contemporary take on traditional Japanese dishes, and you have a destination that draws not only visitors to Monaco but also the principality’s own prominent residents.
