Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives: major update on the occasion of its third anniversary
12 September 2024
This summer, the Maldivian resort Kuda Villingili celebrated its third anniversary and to mark the occasion, carried out a major renovation. A padel tennis court has opened, all of the resort’s villas now have private pools, and the Peruvian-Japanese restaurant Mar-Umi now has a teppanyaki grill table.
Additionally, water villas were equipped with ten-meter swimming pools. Now all guests of Kuda Villingilii can choose where they would like to swim: in the waters of the Indian Ocean, in one of the largest pools in the Maldives with a length of 150 meters, or in their own pool right in the villa.
Establishments serving Peruvian-Japanese cuisine are a rare occurrence in the Maldives, but Kuda Villingili decided not to stop there. The Mar-Umi restaurant now has a table with a traditional Japanese teppanyaki grill, which can accommodate up to eight guests. A special set menu for lunch and dinner was developed for it. In addition, Mar-Umi has expanded its sake collection: now the staff can match their drink to a variety of dishes.
Finally, Kuda Villingili now has a court for padel tennis, a more compact form of tennis that is a little more suitable for beginners and solo players. Padel tennis complements the resort’s existing sports facilities: two full tennis courts with artificial lighting, football and volleyball courts, as well as a gym and a 150-meter swimming pool.
