The Nautilus Maldives: Chef Pietro Catalano from the CAAA restaurant in Lucerne on tour
26 September 2024
The Nautilus Maldives invites you to appreciate the skills of the renowned chef Pietro Catalano, who will visit the hotel on tour from November 23 to 25, 2024. Pietro will be joined by his wife and right-hand assistant Elena Catalano, as well as his sister and sommelier Stefania Catalano.
Pietro Catalano is a talented chef and owner of the trendy restaurant CAAA in Lucerne. He was born and raised in Switzerland, Pietro’s parents owned Italian restaurants and pizzerias, so he was immersed in the restaurant business from childhood. After working in several Gault & Millau-acclaimed establishments, Catalano opened his own restaurant, CAAA, where there are no barriers between the kitchen and the guests: the chefs personally serve the dishes to the guests, creating a special connection. Great importance is also attached to the drinks: they should complement the dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.
At The Nautilus, Catalano and his team will present two exceptional menus with yellowfin tuna as the star. As is well known, the tuna fishery in the Maldives is an integral part of the local economy and culture, and the country pays great attention to the issue of sustainability in the fishing industry. Pietro has created a menu that not only celebrates tuna, but also raises awareness of the importance of sustainable consumption and the environmental problems associated with overfishing. You can try the dishes in the Zeytoun restaurant, located right over the water.
In addition, Pietro, Elena and Stefania Catalano have developed a signature cocktail menu for guests of The Nautilus. Created using innovative Zero Waste technology, it perfectly complements the dishes offered. Cocktails with Mediterranean, Alpine and Maldivian notes can also be tried at the pop-up bar on the hotel beach.
In September and October, different categories of villas are available at the hotel, and we will be happy to provide special conditions for bookings until October 20.
