On May 6, 2025, the JW Marriott Mauritius Resort hotel, as part of the rebranding, changes its name to The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius. Other changes and innovations await the resort’s guests, including gourmet cuisine and family programs that have become the hallmark of The St. Regis brand, as well as the legendary butler service.

The renovated Le Manoir Restaurant offers original variations of Mauritian curry with local ingredients. And in the new pastry shop inspired by French aesthetics, La Patisserie, you can enjoy afternoon tea of elite varieties and taste handmade desserts. For example, Signature Exotic made of passion fruit, banana and mango cream, garnished with pineapple and vanilla-coconut mousse.

Following the brand’s traditions, every evening at The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius, a sabrage ceremony will be held – an impressive opening of champagne with a sabre against the sunset.

Guests can also take a guided tour to Mount Le Morne and have a picnic on the plateau overlooking the tropical vegetation and turquoise ocean waters. Gourmets will enjoy Chef’s Table, a dinner of vegetables and herbs grown in the Carolina Garden, named after Caroline Astor.

As part of the Family Traditions program, children will be able to fly kites on the coast of Le Morne, known for its mild winds.

The peninsula is an ideal place for water sports, and guests can take private kitesurfing lessons, snorkeling and kayaking in the lagoon.

At the end of the year, The St. Regis Le Morne Pirogue, a restored traditional boat, will be launched. Fishing, lagoon tours and romantic sunset cruises with snacks and drinks are offered.

Later this year, The St. Regis Grand Beachfront Villa, located on the ocean, will be available for booking. Inspired by the private residences of the Astor family, the founders of the brand, it will become one of the most spacious in the Indian Ocean (the villa’s area is 1,659 thousand square meters). It can accommodate up to 16 guests, for whom four rooms with terraces, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, three small pools and one infinity pool, as well as direct access to the beach.
