China: Travel program with Aman
3 April 2026
One of the exclusive hotel chains in the world, Aman Hotels & Resorts, known for the concept of “quiet luxury” and the unique location of its facilities, is represented in China by three hotels: Amanyangyun (Shanghai), Amanfayun (Hangzhou) and Amandayan (Lijiang).
A La Carte Premium invites you to a journey created for those who appreciate aesthetics, privacy and the opportunity to touch the true traditions of the Celestial Empire through all three “Amans”, each of which is an independent destination, a guardian of history, culture and natural harmony.
An example of a 7-day travel program
Day 1. Arrival in Shanghai – Amanyangyun
A driver will meet you at the airport and comfortably take you to the Amanyangyun Hotel.
Upon arrival, you will receive a blessing ritual for the royal camphor tree. Only the guests of the hotel can water this thousand–year-old tree with water from an ancient well and receive the blessing of nature – a moment that will set the tone for the whole journey.
Lunch at the Arva restaurant, which serves Italian cuisine with local ingredients.
The second half of the day is up to you. You can explore the ancient villas, restored with exquisite precision, or spend time at the spa. We recommend you try a 60-minute Chinese massage – it will relieve tension after the flight.
In the evening, we recommend dinner at Lazhu Restaurant with authentic Jiangxi cuisine. The rich, deep and moderately spicy flavors will definitely be remembered.
Day 2. Shanghai – Amanyangyun
The morning starts with breakfast at the Arva. After that, there is a guided tour of Shanghai.
You will be transported to the old city through the Garden of Joy (Yuyuan), a real treasure with pagodas reflected in ponds where bright carp swim.
Then – a walk through the ancient quarter of Nanshi. Narrow streets dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, ancient temples, the aroma of traditional tea from small tea shops – here, like nowhere else, you will feel the soul of old Shanghai.
In the afternoon, a contrast awaits you: Narodnaya Square is the heart of a modern metropolis surrounded by skyscrapers. And then there is Bund Embankment, which offers the panoramic view that you probably know from the photos.
And at the end of the excursion program is a visit to the most impressive building in China, the Shanghai Tower, which ranks second in height in the world (632 m).
In the evening, a cultural master class will be held at Nan Shufang: you can try your hand at calligraphy or traditional Chinese painting.
The evening is free. Overnight at Amanyangyun.
Day 3. Amanyangyun – Amanfayun (Hangzhou)
Start the day with a yoga class at the Wellness Centre: a gentle awakening among the ancient trees. Then breakfast at the Arva.
It’s time to say goodbye to this amazing place. After departure, you will be met by a guide to personally escort you to Xihu Lake, the symbol of Hangzhou, sung by poets for centuries.
You will learn why the lake is called the “pearl of China”: its surface is divided by islands and ancient dams, and the shores are protected by temples, pagodas and the famous Longjing tea plantations, where the Dragon’s Well green tea has been produced for 1.2 thousand years.
A cruise boat trip is the best way to experience the harmony of water and mountains. You will understand why they say about Sihu: “it’s beautiful in any outfit.”
After the tour, transfer to Amanfayun. The hotel is located in an ancient village at the foot of the temples, and from the first step you will feel absolute peace.
Day 4. Hangzhou (Amanfayun)
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Then there will be an excursion to the temples of Linyin and Yongfu with a Russian–speaking guide. You will walk along the pilgrim’s path, see giant Buddha statues carved into the rocks, and feel the spiritual power of this place.
The afternoon is for you. You can go to the tea plantations and collect tea with your own hands, or stay at the hotel and choose one of the many activities. A session of singing bowls will fill every cell of the body with vibrations, and a calligraphy lesson will help you find inner balance.
Day 5. Hangzhou – Lijiang (Amandayan)
In the morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Lijiang. A driver will meet you and take you to Amandayan, a hotel woven into the labyrinth of the ancient city of Dayan.
After a short rest, a sightseeing tour of the old town. You will have an English-speaking guide and a Russian-speaking translator with you so that you don’t miss a single detail. You will walk along the embankments of canals and bridges, which are more than 800 years old, and learn a lot about the culture of the Nakhi people.
Day 6. Likiang (Amandayan)
Start the morning with breakfast, and then immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the hotel. We especially recommend tasting the famous Pu–erh tea in the Wenchangong Hall – this is a real ceremony that will reveal the tastes of Yunnan to you.
A visiting program awaits you in the afternoon:
The Likiang Impression show is a grandiose production directed by Zhang Yimou set against the backdrop of majestic mountains, a living picture of the traditions of local peoples.
Blue Moon Valley is a place of fantastic beauty: terraces of turquoise water at the foot of snowy peaks.
In the evening, dinner at the Man Yi Xuan restaurant at the hotel. Chinese cuisine is served here, and the main star of the menu is khogo in a black clay pot, a dish that unites those gathered at the table and gives warmth.
Day 7. Lijiang – Beijing
In the morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Beijing (or to your next destination).
